Cage nuts are quick-install threaded fasteners designed for metal frames with square holes (e.g., 19-inch equipment racks, network cabinets). They consist of a spring-loaded metal cage and a floating internal nut, enabling tool-free, one-handed installation.
Design & Material: The cage (steel/zinc alloy) features elastic clips, while the floating nut (carbon steel/stainless steel) fits standard threads from M5 to M8. Zinc plating or stainless steel options provide excellent rust resistance for various environments.
Key Applications: Primarily used in data center server racks, network cabinets, and industrial control enclosures to secure servers, switches, or equipment brackets.
