After receiving initial designs, we analyze the part design and plastic raw materials. For complicated parts, a DFM report is generated to identify potential issues and define the mould design conception. Our experienced designers (10+ years) finalize detailed ejector, cooling, and runner systems to ensure an excellent mould structure.
Mould Machining Process
1. Steel Procurement: We inspect steel hardness upon delivery to ensure it matches the specified quality level (P20h, 718h, H13, etc.).
2. Rough Tooling: Utilizing CNC milling centers for fast material removal, especially for large home appliance moulds.
3. Precise Tooling: Includes high-speed CNC engraving, EDM (using copper or carbon electrodes), and EDW for high-precision components and narrow ribs.
4. Deep Hole Drilling: Specifically for cooling lines and ejector pin holes to ensure perfectly straight alignment.
5. Polishing: Manual polishing is employed for high-gloss surface requirements to achieve a mirror finish.
